  Open Mic at Cloverdale Performance Arts Center, Saturdays, July 21, 2018, 7:30 pm show with 6:30 pm check-in to do on-mic sound test before theatre fills up by 7 pm.

Sign up with Jim the Sunday before (July 15) to get on under the Organized Comedy umbrella. If you miss that deadline, call venue the Thursday before (June19).

There is no open mic scheduled for August nor October but will have September 8 and November 17, 2018.

Classical Tirade Routine Routines—the "holy grail" for writing classical stand-up comedy routines that become the backbone of your act.

Preparation for entering class's amateur Comedy Marathon Contest, emphasis: "5-Minute Monologue Contest," main contest that is performed after the four mini-contests. Review of ten categories, analyzing video of past winners.

Preparation for entering class's last amateur Comedy Marathon Contest, emphasis: "Improvisation Mini-Contest," one of four mini-contests that are performed before the main contest. Review of seven categories, analyzing video of past winners.

Reminder: entry in more than one evening of these Comedy Marathon Contests will first require evidence of all-new material for each such evening

Aug. 30 & Sept. 6: in-class interview practice and/or more field trips to radio stations, pod casts, newspaper interviews, etc.

Note: do not need to memorize these jokes since you can use cue cards.
